As work and educational priorities shift in response to COVID-19, 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN recognizes that institutions have largely moved to online modes of service delivery.

51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN resources and services are viable options to support institutions during this disruption. For the most part, we do not anticipate interruptions for members. The 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN team is currently working remotely, and staff monitor services from home. We are available as usual through phone and email.

We're excited to announce that our Permissions Project is now complete and new licensing information is now easily accessible on the 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN website for over 65 reseouces.

51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN is committed to strengthening its licensing program and supporting partner libraries by clearly communicating the terms and conditions of access to licensed resources that areÌýnegotiated on their behalf. The purpose of the Permissions Project was to expand and sharpen the licensing information included on the 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN website.

51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN and COPPUL are pleased to welcome Emily Carr University of Art + Design into COPPUL's WestVault preservation network. Thanks to the work of Brandon Weigel, Manager of 51ºÚÁÏÍøELN's Arca digital repository program, and COPPUL's former CDSN coordinator, Corey Davis, COPPUL and 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN have entered into an informal agreement with 51ºÚÁÏÍøELN to allow members of Arca Ìýto use the COPPUL WestVault services, and vice versa. ÌýThe Arca platform fully automates the deposit of repository content into COPPUL's WestVault LOCKSS-based preservation network.

The British Columbia Electronic Library Network (51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN) invites applications for a continuing Librarian position.

Reporting to the 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN Executive Director, the Librarian works as part of a team responsible for planning, developing, and implementing innovative projects in support of 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN and its service areas. The Librarian’s primary responsibility is to oversee the coordination and promotion of 51ºÚÁÏÍø ELN electronic database services, including those of the Electronic Health Library of 51ºÚÁÏÍø (eHLbc).

Burnaby – OutLook OnLine, the technical and support infrastructure that underpins resource sharing throughout much of 51ºÚÁÏÍø, has been rebranded as Illume. The adoption of a new name for this long-standing provincial interlibrary loan service coincides with a major upgrade of the underlying software, SHAREit, which migrated to version 6 in early July.
